- Description of requirement: This requirement is for 14 EA F100-PW-229 Engine External Flap (?Turkey Feathers?). This is Pratt & Whitney proprietary part. Expected award is a sole source award to Pratt & Whitney.NAICS: 336413 100% Small Biz set aside. This will be a Request for Proposal. Note that as of the release of this synopsis NO FUNDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FOR THIS EFFORT. This RFP is for planning purposes since the effort is yet to be funded. To: PRATT & WHITNEY AUTOAIR INC, LANSING, MI., 48911-4103. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed.All prospective offerors shall have or seek a current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database for the offer to be considered. More information regarding the CCR database can be found at http://www.ccr.gov. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation will be on or about 20 Jun 07. Estimated award date will be 08 August 2007. Estimated delivery date will be 13 Nov 07. The number for this solicitation will be FA8232-07-R-1004 No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed, faxed or e-mailed. The solicitation will be available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov.
