- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The 377th Contracting Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, is seeking potential sources to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide the following items: Item 1: 2 each Cranes rated at 50 tons. Item 2: 1 each Crane rated at 30 tons. Item 3: 1 each All Terrain Crane rated at 15 tons. Item 4: 2 each 40 ft. x 6 in. Sling rated at 22.5 tons Item 5: 2 each Spreader Bars at 14.2 ft. in length. The contractor will provide the specific required equipment and operators to support 24 hour crashed, damaged/diabled recovery operations. Contractor will provide transportation of equipment to and from location. The contractor will follow direction and coordinate all actions through Crashed/Damaged/Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) Team Chief. Contractor will be responsible to support recovery operations located within New Mexcio. Response time will depend on geographic location and terrain limitations, but will no exceed 24 hours. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPORSALS (RFP). The Government reserves the right to set-aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis.
