- Description
- The Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service (NWS), Telecommunications Software Branch intends to negotiate on sole source basis, under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302 Other Than Full and Open Competition, with the Sybase, Inc. 6550 Rock Spring Drive., Suite 800, Bethesda, MD 20817-1132. Provide proprietary software maintenance support services and Technical Support Services for the Replacement Telecommunication Gateway (RTG) and the Backup Telecommunication Gateway (BTG). Renewal of maintenance and support for: ASE Ent Ed for IBM 64 AIX, Open Switch (for) IBM AIX, the SOL server, Open Client/C, and SA Companion provide Technical Support Services including Hotline Support and product updates. This request is to provide phone/technical and version update support for Sybase ASE and Open Switch to support RTG/BTG activities. The period of performance is from date of the award through May 05, 2008. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested companies may submit an affirmative response to the requirement by July 05, 2007, to grace.e.carter-tyer@noaa.gov or fax to (301) 713-1024. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests will be honored. Award will be made under commercial simplified acquisitions procedures, FAR Subpart 12. Note 22.
