- VISN 11 Contract Service Center hereby gives its notice of intent to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Bennett Electronics Service Co. Inc., Pontiac, Illinois for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment and necessary supervision to replace the existing nurse call system in Building 58, ICU and PACU areas with a Rauland Borg Responder IV Series nurse call system including an Ascom DCT 1900+ wireless telephone system at the VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, Illinois, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Bennett Electronics Service Co. Inc. is the authorized distributor and installer of the Rauland Borg Responder IV nurse call system in the Danville area. The work includes the removal of existing nurse call system, wiring and associated equipment, the installation of a new nurse call system including dome lights, master control unit, control cabinet, and the installation of new wireless tleephone system with all associated equipment necessary for a complete nurse call system and a standalone wireless telephone system as indicated in the specifications and drawings. The NAICS Code is 238210 and the Small Business Size Standard is $13 million dollars for this procurement. The solicitation document will be issued on or about Friday, June 15, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon any responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government. Inquiries must be received by June 29, 2007, 2:00 p.m. central standard time to be considered. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirement detailed in the solicitation at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than the contractor named.
