- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to acquire the support of Colonial Assembly Design for the modification, upgrade and fabrication of various aircraft components for the Ariel and Cluster Robin Programs. Components to be fabricated and delivered include specialized Radio Frequency distribution assemblies; Direction Finding Pod RF distributions; customized special function units with panels for the aircraft DZUS racks; and specialized RF and various components cables. Other than full and open competition will be used to acquire the components as only Colonial Assembly & Design, Incorporated located in Fredericksburg, Virginia has the skills and expertise to satisfy the minimum requirements of the Government. Colonial Assembly & Design is the designer and manufacturer of the aircraft components and has provided upgrades/modifications to the components for the Government previously. A time-and-materials type contract will be used for the acquisitio n of these components and will be for a base period of one year with four one-year options. All deliveries will be to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, 6220 Tisdale Road, Ste 159, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Request For Proposal N00178-07-R-3038 is anticipated to be issued on or about 15 June 2007. See Numbered Note: 22. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Closing date is 16 July 2007 at 2:00 EST.
