Description

The U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center, Natick, MA has a requirement for a commercially available Alpine Combat Boot utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquistion Procedures. This requirement covers a three-season mountaineering boot that shall be compatible with existing m ountaineering equipment as well as other SPEAR issued equipment. The boot shall provide the durability and stability required for extended operation in rugged mountainous terrain and shall be subdued in color. The government anticipates making one award, b ut reserves the right to make multiple or no awards. The government anticipates a full and open competition acquisition. The government envisions the use of a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with an ordering period of One Year. The anticipated total minimum requirement is 1,000 pair with a maximum total requirement of 10,000 pair. Comments relating to this synopsis should be submitted via email to Christopher Heim, at christopher.andrew.heim@us.army.mil, no l ater than 2 June 2007. The Government anticipates releasing the RFP on or about 3 June 2007. The Government reserves the right to change any information in this notice.
