- The Portland District Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for the successful bidder shall be required to install a new brake thruster and brake pad assembly on twenty-five (25) Intake Structure Gate Hoists at Fort Randall Dam in Pickstown, SD. The work involved shall consist of cleaning the existing brake drums, removing the old brake assemblies and thrusters, installing new brake assemblies and thrusters utilizing the existing mounting bolt locations, burnishing the new pads, performance t esting/commissioning. Additional efforts shall include removal of old asbestos lined brake pads from assembly framing and placing in plastic bags for Corps disposal.
