Description
SOLE SOURCE: GENERAL ELECTRIC CO This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Purchase Request number is FD2030-07-04287. Combination synopsis/solicitation number is FA8104-07-Q-0353. The solicitation is a request for Quote (RFQ). Closing date for quotation will be received at the issuing office until 4:00 PM on 30 May 2007. A list of qualified sources is as follows: General Electric Co (Cage: 07482). The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 (FAAC). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. This is a requirement for Line Item 0001, NSN: 6635-01-417-2420PR, P/N: 736L977G01. NOUN: Detector, Metal Flaw. Description: Kit has 2 ultrasonic probes, 2 co-axial cables, calibration standard, clean blade standard, borescope. Fixture blade marking brush, couplant mixing bottle container kit is to inspect for cracking defects which may occur in the fan stage 2 blade dovetail pressure face on assembled engine or installed engine. DIM: Unknown material. Titanium 6-4(AMS 4965) with a finish of copper nickel indium and solid film lubricant. Application: F110 Engine. Surplus remarks: Other than New and Unused condition is not acceptable for procurement. The material is required to be in original shipping container/package and marked with original pertinent data. Only new/unused material is acceptable due to configuration and the operating environment. Modification/inspection and extensive testing to ensure configuration and serviceability of surplus material will offset any cost savings. This item is used on the F110 series engine and once airborne, it?s considered safety of flight. Misrepresentation of this statement by any vendor shall be cause of rejection and returned at no cost to the government.
