Description
The VA Medical Center, 1 VA Center, Augusta, Maine has a requirement for HVAC UPGRADE OF BUILDING 248. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to provide the following work: BID ITEM 1: General Construction - Building 248 Upgrade of HVAC with necessary removal of existing equipment and certain other items. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical (new air handling units and systems) and electrical work, and necessary removal of existing equipment and certain other items. ALTERNATE BID ITEM DEDUCT I: Deduct all work associated with installation of AHU-2 and CH-1, include all associated ductwork, piping and controls; ALTERNATE BID ITEM DEDUCT II: Deduct all work associated with V.A.V. Box replacement on second floor along with associated control work to be deducted. All work associated with new V.A.V. Boxes 1, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and 19 to be deducted; ALTERNATE BID ITEM DEDUCT III: Deduct all work associated with replacement of liner slot diffuser plenums (replace fiberglass with metal lined plenums). Include repair of existing fiberglass plenums if Alternate No. III accepted; ALTERNATE BID ITEM DEDUCT IV: Deduct all work associated with the installation of humidifier HUM-1, Section in AHU-1, including steam piping, controls and associated work. Provide a blank section in AHU-1 for future installation of humidifier. The applicable NAICS Code is 238220 with a size standard of $13 Million and Estimated Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract period will be one year from date of award.
