Description
This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with option years for a Fin Folding Aircraft Jack applicable to standardized Air Force equipment. This acquisition is for NSN: 1730-00-640-8135, part number: 5366-010. The Aircraft Fin Folding Jack is used to fold the vertical stabilizer from the installed vertical position to a horizontal position above the right horizontal stabilizer on the B52 aircraft. This allows the aircraft to be stored in hangars where the aircraft height would normally be a factor. General characteristics of the item are as follows: overall length: 27.5" , overall width: 7.25", overall height: 74" , Ext: 51.25" max. This requirement will consist of a proof load test. The basic quantity requirement is for 1 EA. A line item will be added for the proof load test. A line item will also be added for Technical Order Program Requirements. The requirement also includes 4 option years each with a quantity of 1-2 EA. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 21 March 2007. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/ ).
