Description
This sources sought notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office Southwest is conducting market research to identify potential small businesses capable of providing light weight reusable embarkation containers and crates. This is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to issuance of a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a base year with four (4) one year option periods. This announcement is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Marine Corps, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on response to this notice. The Government is not responsible for any costs associated with the effort expended in responding to this notice. Three Lots of reusable embarkation containers are anticipated. LOT I: Reusable Embarkation Containers, Various Sizes from 42 Cubic Feet to 84 Cubic Feet. Collapsible. LOT II: Reusable Embarkation Containers, Various Sizes from 6 Cubic Feet to 202 Cubic Feet, Non-collapsible. LOT III: Reusable Weapons Containers, Lockable. For individual and crew served weapons. Various sizes and capacities. Must meet FAA requirements. Statement of Capabilities (SOC) Submittal Requirements: The statement of capabilities will determine the feasibility and/or basis for the Marine Corps to establish this requirement as a Small Business Set Aside. Acquisition. Interested firms who qualify as a small business must submit a SOC, which describes, in detail, the firm?s capability of providing these reusable embarkation containers/crates. The SOC must be complete and sufficiently detail to allow the Government to determine the firm?s capabilities to provide the defined supplies. Interested parties are requested to submit standard commercial literature, supplemented with information that includes: (1) Type of box,/container, (2) Composition, (3) Capacity, (4) Dimensions, (5) Collapsable or non-collapsible, and (6) Weight. In addition to descriptive literature, respondents are requested to provide: Complete Company Name, Address, Point of Contact with phone number, CAGE Code, and Business Size. Descriptive Li terature sent by the U S Postal Service should be sent to: Regional Contracting Office ? SW, Attn: James Burnham, P O Box 1609 Oceanside, CA 92051-1609. Descriptive Literature hand delivered or delivered by courier should be sent to: Regional Contracting Office ? SW, Attn: James Burnham, Bldg 22180, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055. Any literature and/or samples will not be returned. If a firm chooses to submit samples they must pre-coordinate the shipment with the POC below. No payment will be made by the Government for such samples, and the samples will be returned at each company?s request. Each company desiring to submit or have a sample returned shall arrange for shipment at no cost to the Government. Descriptive literature submitted under this sources sought notice is due no later than June 8, 2007.
