- Description
- The Government (88 CONS/PKA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is: INTERNATIONAL MAILING SYSTEMS OF DAYTON (IMS), Dayton, OH. The items being procured are Quantity: (2) IJ110 Digital Mailing System; Quantity: (2) Dynamic Scales; and Quantity: (2) IJ Interface Kits. The contractor shall be responsible to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary for items (IAW the STATEMENT OF WORK). This purchase of Updated Postal Equipment System features are to be included: (a) Ultra-secure IBI Compliant Digital Meter, (b) No-mess Ink Jet Printing, (c) Automatic Date Advance, (d) Postage-On-Call with Direct Connect via modem, (e) 10 Memory key-programmable jobs, (f) Large, easy-to-read LCD Display, (g) Automatic Label Dispenser, (h) Maximum thickness 5/8?, (i) Automatic Thickness Adjustment, (j) Interface Scale Option, (k) Custom Text Message Printing, (l) Exporting customized reports, (m) Touch-screen user interface; and (n) Most USPS Rates and Services included. This notice is being published for information purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations received within three (3) business days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
