- THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRE-SOLICITATION MODIFICATION IS TO REMOVE THE SMALL BUSINESS REQUIREMENT. THE PLANNED RFP WILL NOT BE SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Federal Bureau of Prisons plans to issue RFP 61903-0022-7 for the repair of underground hydraulic leak in a four stop elevator at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Herlong, California. The contractor will be responsible for provision of all tools, equipment, manpower and supplies necessary to complete the work. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance for the resulting contract is 30 calendar days from notice to proceed. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238990. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or about May 30, 2007. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
