- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, Panama City, FL intends to solicit Code Font, 1822 Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133-2409 on a Sole Source basis to extract the information from acoustic color images for the object classification and object identification, to develop models and algorithms to process and analyze images produced by underwater acoustic systems, and will examine issues such as image reconstructions from multi-modality acoustic signals, noise removal, image compression, feature extraction, target recognition, registrations, and super-resolutions. Code Font will develop methods of determining the type and shape of the scattered object from the reflected spectrum sonar data. Additionally, Code Font will variational models and jultiscale Partial Differential Equation (PDE) methods in conjunction with level set methods and wavelet decompositions, which are more error resistant and capable of handling salient geometrical features in the images s ystematically and effectively. The unique mathematical concepts and associated computer algorithms that have been developed by Code Font employees are essential to this specific imaging scheme. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity ? Panama City, Receiving Officer, Bldg 100, 101 Vernon Ave., Panama City, FL 32407-7018.
