- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue RFQ 41407-0001-08 for the provision of Medical Waste Removal Services. The services will be performed for the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) located in Springfield, Missouri. The contractor must provide red, reusable plastic tubs with lid, liners and tape. The contractor must perform thermal destruction of infectious waste in environmentally approved incineration facility or destruction as required by the Department of Natural Resources. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base year and four 12 month option years. The estimated quantities for the base year is approximately 160,000 pounds and 165,000 pounds each option year for the Medical Waste Removal. The solicitation will be available on or about June 14, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about July 11, 2007. The solicitation will be unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 562211. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
