Description

This work consists of reconstructing 1.91 miles of road and the development of a rock pit source and stockpile area. The work requires the reconstruction of the roadway including cut/fill slopes, ditches, drainage structures, placement of select borrow, placement of grid rolled surfacing and realignment construction. Construction clearing flags shall be placed as calculated by the contractor, clearingslash and debris shall be chipped, merchantable timber shall be decked for removal by the Forest Service. This project is located in Baker County, Oregon. From Sumpter, OR proceed North on county road 553 heading towards Bourne. Proceed 5 miles to intersection of FDSR #5540. Turn left and cross the bridge. Segment number 1 of the project begins on the east side of the bridge. Proceed on FSDR Number 5530 for 3.0 miles to the end of gravel surfaced road to the beginning of Segement 2. The project ends at private boundary (green gate). The estimated start work date is June 1, 2008 and the period of performance will be 150 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps on or about June 7, 2007 and offers are due July 7, 2007.
