CONTACT INFORMATION IS WITHIN THE BODY OF THIS NOTICE****** NASA/MSFC has a requirement to purchase 3 annual ANSA software licenses. Market research has found that Beta CAE Systems is the developer of the ANSA software which is a design tool used for rapid automatic surface and volume mesh generation with finite element preprocessing for fluid dynamic analysis. Beta CAE Systems is the developer and distributor of the software; therefore the best value for Marshall Space Flight Center is to purchase the ANSA software from Beta CAE Systems USA, Inc. on a sole source basis. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact Janet Appleton @ janet.l.appleton@nasa.gov or fax to 256-544-4401 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May, 25, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
