- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), intends to modify contract N00039-06-C-0002 with General Dynamics Information Technology, 3211 Jermantown Road, Suite 700, Fairfax, VA, 22030, by awarding two additional option years for continued systems engineering support and software integration for the testing, integration and fielding of the Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System (NITES) capabilities within the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and Maritime (GCCS-M) Version 4.x. NITES II Redesign (N2R) shall be available to support Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT) of the GCCS-M 4.x system. The effort shall require processes to ensure that the applications meet the operational requirements and the software design reflects the required system specifications. This work shall support the integration of fielded NITES software releases into these new network environments. At present, the N2R software build is nearing the completion of a development spiral which will support Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT) as part of GCCS-M 4.x in Fiscal Year (FY) 08 and FY 09. This modification is anticipated for award in October 2007 with completion of all tasking anticipated by 30 September 2009.
