- Description
- The Jefferson Laboratories of the Food and Drug Administration located in Jefferson, Arkansas has a requirement for replacing 1750 linear feet of existing water line. The procurement will be issued as a 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses. The successful offeror will be required to provide evidence of their status as SDVOB. The construction consists of replacing approximately 1750 linear feet of the existing 14 inch Portable waterline with a new 12 inch wrapped ductile iron water line from Well 14 to the clarifier west of Building 11 at Jefferson Laboratories. This project also includes two add alternates that may or may not be awarded at the time of award depending the availability of funds. The Options are as follows: 1) Install a new 50 HP well pump and associated electrical work. The electrical work consist of a new 2300 volt to 480 volt transformer and a variable frequency drive, the successful contractor will also be required to provide DDC controls, 16 points, connected to the existing EMCS Siemens Control System. 2) Install new piping in the well house. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000 and $500,000. Duration of the contract will be One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The invitation for bids will be available on or about June 12, 2007 on the FedBizOpps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. A site visit is scheduled for June 25, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 237110 and the small business size standard is $31.0 million. Prospective bidders are responsible for downloading the solicitation, attachments and amendments. It is the bidder's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for the release of the solicitation and amendments. Hard copies will be provided to individuals eligible under the American with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act upon request. Sealed offers are due by 2:30 p.m. on the date shown above.
