- The Centers for Disease Control intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Dr. Danga O. Constenla on a project entitled ?Cost-Effectiveness of a Targeted West Nile Virus Vaccination Strategy?. Dr. Constenla is uniquely qualified to provide the necessary expertise that this contract stipulates. This contract will be awarded under Simplified Acquistion Procedures and is not expect to exceed the stated threshold. Market Research conduct by the CDC has shown that Dr. Constenla can provide specific experience in vaccine related health economics research. The proposed contract action will be awarded under FAR 13 for a one year performance period, and is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no solicitation will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received within 5 days of this announcement will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
