Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Marine Sanctuary Program, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Key West, FL., intends award a purchase order to install electric service at the docks located at the Dr. Nancy Foster Environmental Complex in Key West, FL. The Contractor shall: Supply all material, labor and supervision to install 3 phase 480 volt 200amp marine electrical service from the electrical room in the shop building C to the sea wall at the dock slip number 8. The specifications are 1) Install a circuit breaker and run conduit and the electrical lines from the main power panel in building ?C? to the dock. The power panel source feds from a General Electric Spectra Series Switchborard/1600 amp 3 phase 480y/277 4 wire 60 hertz systems. 2) The shore tie pedestal at the dock shall have a Russell Stoll catalog #DBRS2421-200 200A.30 440V 60 HZ 200 Amp trip plug or equivalent incorporated into the shore tie pedestal. 3) Approximately 215 feet of wire and conduit will be needed between the electrical panel in building ?C? and the shore tie pedestal. Trenching will be required. 4) FKNMS personnel will supply existing blueprints of interferences such as storm drains, underground electrical line, and other systems for the contractors review. All work shall be in accordance with local, state, and federal codes. 5) All landscaping and interferences shall be returned to their original condition after completion of the work. Contractor shall be licensed to perform electrical services. The Minimum Requirement: The contractor shall be a licensed electrical contractor with a valid license in the State of Florida. All work shall be completed within four weeks after the Government issues the Contractor Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code for this action is 238210. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures. Interested parties can request a copy of the Request for Quotation on or about April 18, 2007.
