Description
The Department of Commerce, National Atmospheric Agency, National Weather Service (NWS), intends to solicit on a non-competitive basis with Patriot Technologies, Inc. of Frederick, Maryland (MD) to purchase a Check Point Premium Enterprise Maintenance Renewal Contract. This required maintenance can support the current VPN-1 Power Gateway to include SS & Premium Support and provide unlimited user licenses. The NOKIA hardware support will include one (1) day turnaround for replacement parts. The contractor will be required to assure that maintenance will be performed according to the specifications of the contract. The Period of Performance (POP) is June 15, 2007 through July 31, 2008 inclusive. This requirement is being processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302 under the statutory authority of 41.U.S.C.253 ( c)(1) ? Only one (1) responsible source and on other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Vendors who believe they can satisfy the Government?s requirement are invited to submit an affirmative response. To be considered an affirmative response, vendors must submit written data and documentation which demonstrates an ability to meet the equipment/service requirement aforementioned. All responsible sources must submit a written narrative statement, of the equipment?s/service?s ability to perform as specified, including detailed specification information and other literature sufficient to permit agency analysis. This is in order to determine a bona fide capability to meet the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competitive basis is based upon responses received to the synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating the determination to issue a sole source contract award. A firm fixed price delivery order is contemplated of this effort. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., (eastern standard time), June 6, 2007.
