- Description
- Cut and deliver lodgepole and western larch post and poles to designated areas on the North Fork John Day and Heppner Ranger Districts (Ukiah and Heppner, Oregon) of the Umatilla National Forest. Cut and deliver an estimated quantity of 925 6-foot ties (2 inches minimum, 3 inches maximum, diameter at either end), Cut and deliver an estimated quantity of 1,850 7-foot posts (4 inches minimum, 7 inches maximum, diameter at either end), Cut and deliver an estimated quantity of 5,590 12-foot poles (3 inches minimum, 5 inches maximum, diameter at either end). Post and poles will be utilized for construction of buck and pole fences. Quoters will be evaluated on their operating plan, quality control plan, proposed work schedule, safety plan, and benefits to the local community. This project is funded with Title II funds. In accordance with Title II of Public Law 106-393, benefits to the local community will be evaluated based on the offerors proposed employment of highly qualified workers and local residents, use of local subcontractors in the performance of the work, and the use of local suppliers. Quoters must show the benefits to Umatilla, Morrow and Grant Counties. The estimated project is less than $100,000. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps on June 6, 2007 and offers are due July 2, 2007.
