- COMMERCIAL ITEM. SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED ON APPROXIMATELY MAY 24, 2007. COMPLETE SCOPE AND SPECIFICATION OF THIS PROJECT WILL BE IN THE SOLICITATION. SCOPE OF CONTRACT: The purpose of this solicitation is to procure the services for estimated 41 acres of mechanical treatment of vegetation to remove ladder fuels and reduce the continuity of fuels adjacent to an urban interface community. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals. PROJECT LOCATION: The Old Creek Mastication units are located on the Carson Ranger District, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The project area lies about 5 miles southwest of the city of Carson City in the Clear Creek Drainage by US 395 and Interstate 50. Legal description for the project area is T15N, R19E, Section 1, Mount Diablo Base Meridian. ESTIMATED START DATE: October 1, 2007, with completion by February 28, 2008. NAICS code: 115310.
