Description
This project is a Total Hub-Zone Set-Aside. <> THIS IS AN IFB as per this modfication of the notice, Invitation For Bids (not an RFP as originally posted)<> GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The base contract will be to reconstruct 2000 feet of roadway along NFSR 25. It will include the installation of four 84 inch diameter culverts to be furnished by the Thorne Bay Ranger District. There will be 2 and a half foot lift of 6 inch material placed for 2000 foot 16 feet wide and a 6 inch lift of crushed aggregate placed over the new lift of 6 inch material. <><> There are two additive items involving the removal and disposal of damaged or destroyed bridge railing and approach railing components. Installation of new bridge rail posts, spacer blocks, and W-beam sections. Removal and disposal of damaged or destroyed object markers and posts. Installation of new object markers and posts.<><> The price range for this project including additive items is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contract time is 120 days. <><> A bid guarantee will be required. Contract time is 120 days. <><> A bid guarantee will be required. . PROJECT LOCATION: The project sites are located on the Prince of Wales Island road system. Sites are located on the NFSR 2500000 and the NFSR 3000000 road approximately 39 air miles, or 66 road miles, northwest of Thorne Bay, Alaska and approximately 43 air miles southwest of Wrangell, Alaska. The Prince of Wales road system can be accessed by the ramp and dock facilities at Whale Pass, Coffman Cove, Thorne Bay, and Hollis. Coffman Cove is served by the InterIsland Ferry Authority from Wrangell and Petersburg during the summer, and Hollis is served from Ketchikan year round by the same agency. Craig and Klawock are full service communities on Prince of Wales Island. Thorne Bay is served by two barge lines. All communities on Prince of Wales are serviced by float plane. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about June 4, 2007 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. If unable to successfully obtain the solicitation from the internet, then a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228-6254. Fax requests must reference solicitation number IFB-AG-0116-S-07-0026. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for EACH project. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases.
