- Description
- This amendment is issued to answer questions submitted. Q1. What is the color of the gym floor? A1. The current gym floor is a yellowish or gold in color. The new floor for building 519 Addition shall be like and kind in color to that of the main gym floor. Color must be submitted for approval. Q2. What are the colors of the Lines? A2. Blue is the color on the main court for basketball. White is the color for the volley ball court. Gray is the color for the side basketball court. Color must be submitted for approval. Q3. Where is the staging area for the contractor located as far as the distance from the job site? A3. The staging area will be coordinated with the contractor who is awarded the contract. The location of the staging area from the job site will depend on the amount of space required by the contractor. Q4. Is there material that must be removed by the contractor? Such as the old floors? If so then this will need to be added to the solicitation. A4. Building 519 Additional is a new building and does not have any flooring material other than a concrete floor. The main gym floor currently has a synthetic type floor which shall be resurfaced. It is our understanding that there are two ways to perfor m the task. One is to remove the current flooring material and install the new material. The other is to pour the new material over the old. In the past the flooring material was removed and the new material put in place. Q5. Will the work area be accessible all day or only at night and weekends? A5. Currently the installation is on a 4-day workweek schedule. The hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST, Monday through Thursday, excluding legal public holidays. On request, the contractor may be authorized to work weekends and other than c onventional work shifts. Q6. What is the time frame for completion? A6. Currently the main gym floor is ready for work to be performed. Work must be completed within 30 days of award. The additional is under construction and will not be available until the end of June. Completion of the floor for the addition shall be wi thin 30 days from date of availability.
