- Description
- The U. S. Special Operations Command intends to contract for Depot Level (D-Level) maintenance, sustaining engineering support, and spares/repair parts for the T55-714 and T55-L-GA714A turboshaft engines and engine components utilized on MH47 Special Operations Aircraft (SOA). Services shall be performed primarily at Greer SC with deliveries to Fort Campbell KY. An indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, firm fixed price commercial contract is anticipated. The contract performance period shall be 1 January 2007 through 31 December 2011. This RFQ does not provide for full and open competition. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The intended source is Honeywell International. Honeywell is the designer, developer and manufacturer of these engines and owns all proprietary data for the engine. This is a DO-A1 rated contract. The solicitation number is H92241-06-R-0022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336413; the business size is 1000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 11 September 2006.
