- It is the intent of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to enter into a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Eastman Kodak for: 1)50 Rolls, 35mm, 2000 ft. roll, color internegative II film #2272, Catalog #868 9853. 2)100 Roll, 16mm, 12 ft. roll, color internegative II film #3272, Catalog #831 3892. 3)50 Rolls, 35mm, 2000 ft. rolls fine grain duplicating panchromatic negative film #2234, Catalog #843 6354. 4)50 Rolls, 16mm fine grain duplicating panchromatic negative film #3234, Catalog #856 8818. 5)50 Rolls, 35mm, 2000 ft. roll, fine grain duplicating positive film #2366, Catalog #133 6361. 6) 50 Rolls, 16mm, 2000 ft. roll, fine grain duplicating positive film #3366, Catalog #160 1780. 7) 50 Rolls, 35mm, 2000 ft. roll, Vision color print film #2383, Catalog #852 3581. 8) 50 Rolls, 16mm, 2000 ft. roll, Vision color print film #3383, Catalog #813 3654. This film is required to reformat, duplicate, and preserve fragile and deteriorating motion picture film records of the Federal Government. The only known manufacturer is Eastman Kodak. This proposed contract action will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICs code is 512. The delivery schedule is 6 weeks after contract award to NARA, 8601 Adelphi Road, Room 3340, College Park, Maryland 20740-6001. The anticipated award date is June 25, 2007 .The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to close of business June 18, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after date of publication of this synopsis and prior to June 18, 2007will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
