- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ-C000913 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This Solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-17 effective May 15, 2007. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This RFQ is issued under full and open competition and is restricted 100% to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program as defined in the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 334511 and the small business size standard is 750 employees or less. Award will be made to one vendor. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a requirement to purchase 5 Wireless Fiberscope with head and wrist mounted monitors. The systems shall have the following specifications: - Scope and power unit must be one piece and weigh no more than 8 pounds - Probe of the scope must be designed from a non-conductive material and be no more than 12 inches in length - Camera, attached at the end of the probe, shall show a black and white picture and be no greater than 10mm in diameter - Powered by a 3 volt lithium battery and capable of running 3 hours - Wireless transmitter with option for hardwire - Wireless heads-up display goggles and multi-channel media (wrist or flat monitor) - Compatible wireless connectivity with current scope (VFS1) Interested parties should identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting proposals to this office no later than 10:00 AM, EDT, June 13, 2007 to the address below, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Andrea J. All questions and answers will be posted on FedBuzOpps after June 1, 2007. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12.
