- Description
- The project consists of removing and disposing of the existing 8 ft. x 60 ft. culvert, and furnishing and installing a 14 ft. x 60 ft. modular steel bridge with bridge rail and precast concrete footings. Work will also include the restoration of an estimated 150 ft. length of streambed to approximate its natural gradient and cross-section. Restoration work will include excavating and disposing of existing backfill materials; and furnishing and placing streambed simulation materials (gravel, cobble and boulders). Incidental work includes installing a temporary stream bypass system; dewatering the existing stream channel; constructing all sedimentation and pollution control; furnishing and installing riprap slope protection; furnishing and placing aggregate base course and bituminous surfacing; and performing seeding, mulching and final cleanup. The estimated start date for construction is September 4, 2007. The road may be closed to all traffic from Sept 4 - Oct 12, during which time all in-stream work and earth-moving work that requires road closure must be completed. General rehabilitation and cleanup will be allowed until October 30, 2007. The project is located on Rough Creek Road 70626 in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA) near Stanley, Idaho. From Stanley, proceed northeast on Highway 75 for approximately 9 miles to the intersection of Road 70626 at the bridge crossing of the Salmon River. Proceed up Road 70626 for approximately 0.2 miles to the existing culvert crossing of Rough Creek. NAICS code: 237310. Size Standard: $31.0 Million. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set aside.
