- Description
- The 316th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base intends to award a sole source contract with Bayer Corporation, 115 Norwood Park S, Norwood, MA 02062-4658 using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) and FAR 8.402. This requirement is for a laboratory cost per-test reagent contract for one (1) urinalysis analyzer to include replacement instruments, reagents, and routine and emergency maintenance service 24 hours/ 7 days a week. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price using other than full and open competition procedures; interested persons may identify heir interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all proposals received within three (3) days after publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The 316th Contracting Squadron will consider all proposals received by 3:00pm EST (eastern standard time) 19 January 2007, three days after publication of this notice.
