- Description
- The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, personnel, materials, equipment, etc., for the collection of tissue samples (e.g., small fin clips), non-lethally, from greater than 95% of the returning steelhead adults at Tumwater Dam (Wenatchee River) over the course of an annual spawning run (approximately 9/1/07 through 12/1/08). Tissues samples shall be preserved for genetic analyses. The origin (hatchery or natural), sex, age, weight, and fork length of each fish shall be recorded and associated with the corresponding tissue sample. Tissues samples are to be collected from at least 600 juvenile progeny of the adults sampled and preserved for genetic analysis. The age and fork length of each juvenile shall be recorded and associated with the tissue samples. Any resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price. The period of performance is for one (1) base year with four (4) additional one-year option(s). Documents for the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about June 4, 2007, to download through the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION] and [REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR] features which provides a notification when the RFP becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking this website to gain all current information related to this solicitation. Any further announcements regarding this solicitation will be posted only at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The ESTIMATED response due date is July 5, 2007; however, the actual due date will be stated within the solicitation package. This procurement is full and open to all interested parties. The NAICS Code for Facilities Support is 541710 with a size standard of 500 employees.
