- Description
- The United States Penitentiary (USP) Pollock, Louisiana, intends to make a single award for the provision of Catholic Services for the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Pollock, Louisiana. The successful contractor shall provide leadership in worship services, pastoral counseling, and religious education to inmates of the Catholic faith tradition. They will organize special services on holy days, provide scripture lessons, programs, and instruct inmates in the Roman Catholic faith. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base year and four 12 month option years for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year - 54 sessions; Option Year 1 - 54 sessions; Option Year 2 - 54 sessions; Option Year 3 - 54 sessions; Option Year 4 - 54 sessions. A session will be defined as (2) hours in duration. The number of hours per week will not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be available on or about August 25, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 11, 2006. The solicitation is set-a-side for small business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 813110 and the applicable small business size standard is $6.0 million. Faith Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other Organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
