- This amendment (#1) to the subject pre-solicitation is to read as follows: This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through the February 2007 Federal Acquisition Regulation revision, which includes the consolidation of all Federal Acquisition Circulars through 2005-15. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 519120 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. It is anticipated that ONE (1) up to THREE (3) award(s) will be made from this solicitation and that the award(s) will be made on or about July 23, 2007. It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure professional services to evaluate web-based consumer health information for inclusion on the website MedlinePlus (medlineplus.gov). The successful provider(s) will use a custom content management system and unique guidelines to select, maintain and classify consumer health information. The provider(s) must possess knowledge of the internet, consumer health information resources and common medical vocabularies such as MeSH (National Library of Medicine Medical Subject Headings). The service provider(s) will: 1) accurately create and maintain consumer health topic pages by evaluating potential internet health resources for inclusion; 2) follow detailed rules for creation of database records using the methodology described in the MedlinePlus site development procedures; 3) review topics by giving feedback in electronic format to the Government?s Official; 4) monitor selected web sites on a regular schedule to add content to MedlinePlus; and 5) perform database maintenance tasks assigned by MedlinePlus staff at NLM. The purchase order(s) term will be August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008 with option for one (1) successive one-year period and five (5) award term periods. Proposals response to the subject RFQ-NLM-07-084-UHP is due on June 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
