- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The contractor must bid on ALL items and must be quoted FOB Destination. Substitutes will not be accepted based on the Brand Name Justification as follow: The equipment to be procured must be compatible with the existing DINFOS Broadcast architecture and automation systems. The equipment listed in these project lines has been fully designed into the overall project. Substitution with another vendor?s product would result in significant redesign time, possible changes to other equipment specifications elsewhere in the project, and slower implementation of the system. The Evertz sync generators and changeover switch, Dorrough meters, and Leitch circuit cards are the same models used elsewhere in the current DINFOS system. We have standardized on these products to both eliminate the need for additional parts stock, and to have similar systems in each classroom. Substitution would also result in changes to curriculum in this particular instance, which would delay actual student use for training.
