Description
GSA intends to issue an order under GSA schedule to Tucker Sno-Cat Corporation, a small business located in Medford, Oregon. The Air Force has a requirement for three (3) all terrain tracked vehicles for transporting military personnel and supplies in remote mountainous areas with deep snow and over mud, gravel and paved roadways. For administrative convenience, an ordering activity contracting officer may add items not on the Federal Supply Schedule to the FAR 8.4 order in accordance with regulations. This is notice that GSA intends to conduct a sole source procurement, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to add a group of open market items to the order. Only the manufacturer can satisfy the requirement to provide the open market items as part of the vehicle. The items are: hand rails along the cab roof and step areas; an aluminum bench, extension to side decks and cargo deck; providing tie down rings and straps; adding a special blade; and 8 hours training. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to Jill Thomas at jill.thomas@gsa.gov. This notice is not a request for proposals. However, all information received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will only be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
