- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propo sals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Document # W81K00-07-STAIN-8200 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acq uisition Circular 2005-16. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business under NAICS code 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The requirements in this solicitation are: CLIN 0001, 1 each Tissue Tek Prisma Basic Auto MFG : Sakura MFG Item # 6130, shipping included; CLIN 0002, 1 each Tissue Tek Prisma Link System MFG: Sakura MFG Item # 6134, includes 2 service manuals and 2 operating manuals, shipping included; CLIN 0003, 1 each 20-Slide Basket Adapter MFG: Sakura MFG Item # 6136, shipping included. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal applies to this acquisition. CLIN 0001 salient characteristics are: MFG: Sakura, MFG Item # 6130, process capacity of up to 60 slides in 3 baskets though continuous loading, throughput of up to 500 glass slides per hour (method dependant), operational temperature of 10?C to 40?C, visual tracking of stain runs through touch-sensitive color menus, allows simultaneous runs of H&E and special stains, ability to set multiple loading and unloading stations based on slide volume, compatible with histology and cytology protocols; CLIN 0002 salient characteristics are: MFG: Sakura, MFG Item # 6134, compatible with the Tissue Tek Prisma; CLIN 0003 salient characterist ics are: MFG: Sakura, MFG Item # 6136, compatible with the Tissue Tek Prisma. Vendors shall comply with FAR 52.211-6 if submitting other than the Brand Name product. Clause 52.211-6 (and other clauses throughout this solicitation) can be viewed by access ing website, http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ . Delivery, by 25 June 2007, shipping shall be FOB destination to Darnall Army Community Hospital, Fort Hood, TX 76544-4752. FAR provision 52.212-1 [Instructions to Offerors Commercial] applies to this acquisit ion to include the following addenda: All offerors are cautioned that if selected for award, they must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program.
