**This Market Survey is being re-posted as a courtesy to the marketplace. The original Market Survey was posted from 23 Feb through 23 Mar 07. All technical content remains the same. Submission instructions have been revised to reflect the Techni cal Point of Contact (POC) information. If you submitted a response during the 23 Feb through 23 Mar 07 posting period, there is no need to respond again unless you are revising your original response information. Q&As posted during the original posting period have also been provided.** This is NOT a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. The United States Army is conducting a Market Survey to determine the current availability of driveline components with a payload capacity rating of 55,000 to 58,000 lbs for integration on current Stryker Family of Vehicles. These components include: Dri ve Shafts, Differentials, Transfer Case, Planetary Carrier, Struts Assemblies, Wheel Hubs, Power Steering Assemblies, and Brake System (Drum or Disk, ABS desired). The purpose of this survey is to assist the Army in determining what Non-Developmental Item s are currently available. The Federal Acquisition Regulation defines a non-developmental item as follows: a. Any previously developed items used exclusively for governmental purposes by a Federal agency, a State or Local government, or a foreign governm ent with which the U.S. as a mutual defense cooperation agreement. b. Any item described in paragraph a. above, that requires only minor modifications to meet the requirements of the procuring agency. c. Any item currently being produced that does not me et the requirement of paragraphs a or b, above, solely because the item is not yet in use. Interested firms should fill out the questionnaire below and submit your response to the Technical Point of Contact (POC), Dorothy Foley at foleyd@tacom.army.mil. Should the government decide to solicit in the future, your responses will assist in providi ng a thorough description of the requirement. The government will not reimburse contractors for any costs incurred as a result of their participation in this survey. Submit survey documentation by email to the Technical POC, Dorothy Foley at foleyd@tacom.army.mil, no later than 1700 hrs local time 18 June 2007. Printed copies will be accepted also, but are not required.
