- Description
- The Army is conducting a pattern verification for the new Army Service Uniform Mens and Womens dress coats. This program is open to all current and potential new mens and womens dress coat manufacturers. The purpose is to verify with industry th at the mens and womens coat patterns are ready for use in production. The program involves representatives from the Army and the Defense Personnel Support Center (DSCP) visiting your plant for approximately 3-5 days and following your production process from cutting out the garments (two coats a mens size 40CR and a womens coat size 12MR) from the new patterns (provided by the Army) through the final pressing process. In order to participate in this pattern verification, the manufacturer will need t o supply all of the required components cited in the current specifications (GL/PD 07-07 for the woman's coat and GL/PD 07-08 for the men's coat). The Army will supply the patterns for size 40CR for the mens coat and a size 12MR for the womens coat and the basic material. There will be no compensation to the manufacturers for this pattern verification work and it is strictly on a voluntary basis.
