- Description
- The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial contract to The MathWorks, Inc. The requirement is for renewal of Matlab software. The MathWorks, Inc. has proprietary rights to this software and directly provides all upgrades, patches, and releases for the software, and all technical support. This software is critical to the Academy mission providing the required academic and math applications to multiple Air Force Academy departments and cadets. This is the primary mathematical software used in upper level astronautics, physics, and aeronautical engineering classes. It will be used by all 4,200 cadets at some point in their academics at USAFA. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 511210 and the size standard is $23.0 All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Any company that feels they can provide the services that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim no later than 25 May 2007. The information must explain the company's ability to overcome the restriction of proprietary rights. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
