- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is looking for General Construction firms with approved NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $31 million. Cost Range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement provides for the necessary labor, materials and equipment to renovate Ward 5B (Building 1). Work includes general architectural construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, fire alarm and nurse call system, fire protection, utility systems, limited demolition of existing interior spaces and certain other items. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work in the State of Texas. This solicitation is a 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB). Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 18, 2007. Request for documents shall be forwarded to WestEast Design Group, 1617 Commerce Street, Suite 7102, San Antonio, TX 78205, Attention: Christopher Kimm; Telephone: (210) 530-0755; Fax: (210) 530-9427. When calling be prepared to state the firms name, address, phone number, email address and solicitation number. All responsible firms may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Proposal documents are available at a cost of $200.00 per set, refundable upon return, to WestEast Design Group. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for May 30, 2007, at 10:00 AM local time at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, Texas. Sealed proposals are due to the Contracting Officer by June 14, 2007, 3:00 PM EDT. There will be no public opening. All offerors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide both 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Offers from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered for an award under this procurement. The proposals will be evaluated and award made on the basis of Best Value Procurement in accordance with FAR Subpart 15. Contract will be awarded SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
