- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to Zimmer Inc., 8655 Crown Crescent Court, Charlotte, NC 28227. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC. The Federal Correctional Complex has a need for mini and small fragment surgical set. The Government believes that Zimmer Inc. is the only vendor that will satisfy the agency requirement with the existing trauma sets purchased through Zimmer. This is not a request for competitive quotes. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
