- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), the lead center for aviation for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), intends to award a Performance Based Logistics Contract to the Boeing Company (BOEING), Cage 76301, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 in support of the F-15 Structural Support System. This integrated effort is part of a coordinated approach between DLA and the United States Air Force to support the F-15 aircraft with the ultimate goal of increasing the availability of flight hours per aircraft, reducing MICAP hours and life cycle costs for the platform. The number of NSNs for the F-15 Structural Support System is approximately 7,000. An IDIQ with a two year base period and four two year option periods, for a total of ten years, is anticipated. DLA may no longer place orders for spare parts that support the F-15 Structural Support System from existing contracts once this contract is awarded. The Contractor will provide worldwide logistics support in the areas of forecasting and asset management. The successful vendor will also provide engineering support services that will provide performance efficiencies for the F-15 Structural Support System via spare parts improvements, improved reliability and aircraft lifespan, management of obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing sources, improved overall technical and engineering processes, and configuration management.
