- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA (DDC) has a requirement to establish a firm-fixed price contract to provide training and inspections of wood packaging material (WPM) at 22 Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) sites by an accredited American Lumber Standard Committee (ALSC) Agency. The following is a brief description of the services required: Certify processes to comply with ALSC requirements. Audit Agency shall provide procedure training at each site. Shall provide each site required IPPC stamps. Shall provide DDC WPM focal point a copy of each site monthly audit to include board footage used. Audits shall be scheduled by the contactor and performed at each site once a month. Following is list of the DLA sites requiring audits: a. Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, PA (New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg) b. Defense Distribution Center San Joaquin, CA (2 sites) c. Defense Distribution Center Norfolk, VA d. Defense Distribution Center Albany, GA e. Defense Distribution Center Red River, TX f. Defense Distribution Center Hill, UT g. Defense Distribution Center Warner Robins, GA h. Defense Distribution Center Anniston, AL i. Defense Distribution Center Richmond, VA j. Defense Distribution Center Tobyhanna, PA k. Defense Distribution Center Corpus Christi, TX l. Defense Distribution Center Cherry Point, NC m. Defense Distribution Center Jacksonville, FL n. Defense Distribution Center Barstow, CA o. Defense Distribution Center San Diego, CA (3 sites) p. Defense Distribution Center Puget Sound, WA q. Defense Distribution Center Oklahoma City, OK r. Defense Distribution Center Pearl Harbor, HI Contract period shall be for a one (1) year lease period with four (4) one year option periods. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small Business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 541380 and the size standard is $11 M. All responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal that shall be considered by this agency. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http:// www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to the responsible offer using the lowest priced, technically acceptable source selection process. It is anticipated that RFP SP3100-07-R-0021 will be posted to this site on or around May 31, 2007. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted to this site. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under this RFP. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award.
