- The Weapons Prototype Division (WPD) of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure various types of metals in several different alloys, alloy specifications, forms, shapes, sizes, and heat treat levels. The alloys include: Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Icoel, Invar, Lead, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Nickel, Stainless Stee, Steel, Titanium and Tungsten. The forms in which the alloys will be procured include: angle, channel, flat, forge, hex, H-beam, I-Beam, bar, wire, pipe, plate, round, sheet, square tube, T-bar and tubing. The contract will be firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract that encompasses multiple electronic orders over a three year period of performance. Payments will be made by Government Purchase Card on a monthly basis. It is the intent of the Government to award multiple contracts for this type of support, although the Government reserves the right to issue a single contract depending on the solicitation response and the technical capability of the offerors. Contract awardees will be allowed a fair opportunity to compete for orders values at greater than $2500 under this requirement. This procurement will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 13.5 procedures. The contracts will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. WPD will identify the specific alloy required, together with any additional applicable data required for each procurement by issuing electronic requests for proposals to all contract awardees. Contractors must respond electronically with price, delivery and any other pertinent information by the time specified in the request. The WPD will issue elctronic delivery orders resulting from the proposals. The contractor shall provide supporting documentation and certification verifying compliance to applicable specification requirements for each product ordered. The anticipated award date is 15 August 2007. The solicitation will be issued on or about 1 June 2007. NAICS Code = 331491 Place of Performance = N/A Set Aside = Unrestricted
