Description
This is a yearly sources sought announcement for inspection and monitoring services on construction projects for the abatement of coal mining related emergencies, including landslides, refuse fires, mine fires, mine drainage, mine subsidence, and hazaedous shafts and openings. Emergency projects are located primarily in KY and PA with a limited number in GA, MD, MI, RI, and TN. The role of the Inspector is to oversee, provide daily monitoring, ensure compliance with the specifications, and document performance of the construction activities. Solicitations and or request for verbal quotes are issued with short turn around time due the emergency nature of the projects. Often quotes are required to be submitted the same day as requested. The estimated cost range for inspection and monitoring services required on most projects is under $25,000. Interested parties should submit a written request for a bidders list application.
