- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a brand name, sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Van Cleve and Associates, Alexandria, VA 22308 under Request for Quote (RFQ) E004541. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Van Cleve and Associates is to provide the following items: 1) (4) Each of CS500 Pursuit 4 Input Codec with Pots Module; 2) (4) Each of CS-400 Tieline Intelli-Mix 4 Output Codec with Pots Module; 3) (2) Each of TLR300C Intelli-Mix 4 Output with Pots Module, Rack Unit; 4) (8) Each of CSPOTS Pots Module; 5) (4) Each of CSGSMNOK Nokia GSM Module. Based on extensive testing and market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, only one responsible source can provide the requested stereo (two channel) system. Tieline Technology via Van Cleve and Associates, the Regional Supplier of the manufacturer - Clarifying Technologies, Incorporated, is the only known source that meets the stereo CODEC capability via a singular telephone line. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM EST, May 30, 2007, via facsimile at 703-632-6103 or via mail at the attention of Ms. Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, FBI Engineering Research Facility, Room B-226, Quantico, VA 22135. E-mail quotes will also be accepted at rbraun@fbiacademy.edu. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334210 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. All contractors anticipating award, must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
