Description

POC FOR THIS PROJECT IS MR. ALOU C. RICE AT FAX: 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. This is an IDIQ Contract For Beach Renourishment At Panama Cit y Beach, Panama City Beach, Florida with a self propelled hopper dredge. The beach material is to be placed over 8 miles of beach. The sand is to be dredged from a site in the Gulf of Mexico, transported approximately 16 miles, and then pumped from the d redge to the beach and placed in accordance with a given template. Work will be issued under individual task orders. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Solicitation/bid documents should be available for download on or about 8 June 2007. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is the Contracting Officer f or this project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicit ations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitations. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will o nly be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution FedTeDS Homepage https://www.fedteds.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FedTeDS.gov Internet Homepage. The information listed below is required to register: a. If you are not registered, the United States government is not responsible for providing you with notificat ions of any changes to this solicitation. The solicitation will be available only as a direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to c heck this web page daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any posted changes or amendments to this solicitation.
