- Description
- The contractor shall provide all qualified personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform contracted services, unless specified as provided by the Government. Contractor is required to demonstrate the military utility of using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or modified commercial-off-the-shelf (MCOTS) fuel cell or fuel cell and battery electrical power supply to meet the power requirements for the Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) emergency equipment litter medical equipment suite and the Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) medical equipment suite. The customer intends to connect the fuel cell electrical power supply to the AE emergency equipment litter medical equipment suite and determine if this medical equipment will operate properly. Through this demonstration, the customer seeks to assess whether COTS and MCOTS fuel cell or fuel cell and battery technology has adequate performance and physical (weight and size) to make it a viable option in the AE environment. Solicitation will be issued on or about 18 May 07. Due date for quotes will be stated in the solicitation. This is a commercial acquisition. This solicitation is a request for quote and is issued as 100% Small Business competitive under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 3629, NAICS code is 335311 and the related Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 305 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency.
