- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration plans to award a sole source purchase order to the Precast Prestressed Concrete Institute to produce the Bridge Design Manual. PCI will produce, develop, and distribute the Bridge Design Manuals for 1400 professionals, including engineers, architects, and associate members from the PCI institute. PCI developed the manuals for the engineering precast applications for leading edge technologies of the North American construction industry. The PCI bridge manual is owned and has been developed specifically for bridge design and state highway engineers. Because PCI developed and is owned by their company they are the only source who can provide the publication services. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is May 30, 2007.
